Deacon and Jones were the QS on 2 of the first large Out of Town Shopping Centres – Meadowhall Sheffield, The Trafford Centre, Manchester. Since then we have completed many other new build shopping centres and Retail Parks.
A new build retail park by Stadium Developments, commenced on site in June 2005, and opened its doors in October 2007. The park is over 123,000sq ft, with further mezzanine-floor accommodation being provided for anchor tenants, Debenhams and BHS.
Surface car parking with over 500 spaces makes the shopping experience both convenient and accessible.
Structural steel frames have been clad with full height brickwork, with detailing in render and GRG. Glazed airy canopies provide protection to the customers, and sympathetically blend with the architecture of the town centre, which is close at hand.
