Intu Trafford Centre has confirmed that Primark will be the key tenant for the centre’s £74 million extension.
The redevelopment of Barton Square will comprise opening up the first floor level to create additional retail units and includes enclosing the entire mall with a glass barrel vaulted roof with central dome and fully redesigned interior.
Primark will occupy both ground and first floor levels incorporating the space previously occupied by BHS home.
Works are due to commence on site during the first half of 2018.
Deacon and Jones are appointed by Intu Trafford Centre as Quantity Surveyors for the redeveloped and provided construction cost advise to assist Intu in their negotiations on the Primark deal.
